After years of education and a long career in training and
development, I finally decided what I want to be when I grow
up! As a Personal Chef I now have a creative outlet that
allows me to share my lifelong joy of cooking and my interest
in healthy eating with people who have more taste than time.
I’m
a graduate of the CAML Culinary School (Cooking All My Life).
My earliest cooking memory is making Pixie Delights, the oven
version of S'mores, when I was about 6 years old in Salt
Lake City. Since then, my enthusiasm about food and cooking has
grown and evolved.
I was a career mom, so I learned first hand about the
challenge of getting a meal on the table at the end of a
hectic work day! I enjoyed introducing my family to new foods
and recipes at the dinner table. As career moves took us to
Virginia and then Georgia, I joined gourmet cooking groups
where I learned new techniques and ethnic cuisines. A growing
understanding about the link between eating habits and health
prompted me to add many recipes to my repertoire that feature
low fat, whole grains, fruits and vegetables. Through these
varied influences I’ve developed a cosmopolitan palate and the
ability to prepare a wide variety of foods so there’s nothing
boring about everyday meals.
I have an extensive and ever growing collection of
cookbooks and recipes, including an unlimited supply of chef
tested recipes through membership in the Personal Chefs
Network. I can’t possibly try them all at home with just my
husband and me in our empty nest! Jantastic Meals is my
way of combining a focus on healthy eating and a love of
cooking to help busy people enjoy delicious, nourishing meals
at home and still have time to take care of their family,
fitness or leisure needs.
I am licensed, fully insured and
ServSafe certified by the National Restaurant Association.
